Situated on 15 picturesque, wooded acres along the north shore of Medicine Lake in Plymouth, Minnesota, our youth campus provides the ideal setting to begin the journey to recovery. Hazelden Betty Ford's Center for Teens, Young Adults and Families in Plymouth, MN is where we've been helping those impacted by the disease of addiction for more than 30 years. Situated 20 miles west of Minneapolis, Vinland's main campus encompasses 178 acres of restored prairie land, woods and shoreline in a rural setting conveniently located. Structured hours in the classroom each day, along with individual tutoring, enhance teens’ executive functioning, organizational skills, and love of learning. Experiential therapy allows teens to process emotions and build trust, collaboration, and enhanced self-confidence. Individual, family, and group therapy sessions support teens to build self-understanding, reframe thinking, and repair ruptures in the family system. Our approach provides guidance for authentic connection with self and others through evidence-based clinical, experiential, and academic modalities. Over 12+ years of industry-leading outcomes, we’ve learned that sustainable healing requires integrated, family-focused treatment that addresses these underlying issues. This whole-person philosophy of care seeks to heal childhood trauma and attachment wounds that lie at the root of anxiety, depression, and co-occurring disorders, such as substance abuse, eating disorders, and self-harm.
